cattle dog
A
tough, powerful dog bred to drive huge herds of cattle over long distances
in the harsh conditions of the Australian outback. This colour is known as
the blue heeler.

Border collies
Shepherds the
world over will attest to the skill and intelligence of these dogs. They are
unsurpassed for herding sheep (or geese, or cows, or people....)
German shepherd
dogs
Once known as
the Alsatian, the GSD is the most versatile of dogs. From a fierce guard dog
to a gentle guide dog for the blind, it does it all. This is
"Elsa"
Siberian
huskies
Developed by the
Siberian Inuit people for pulling sleds and herding reindeer. A handsome and
amiable dog, I love painting them.

Rottweiler
Strong and
powerful and a natural guard dog. With good training and firm handling the
"rotty" makes a wonderful companion dog.

St. Bernard
Big. Very big.
But also very gentle. Originally bred for mountain rescue work the are now
highly regarded as family dogs.
