 AIREDALE.jpg (41294 bytes)

Airedale terrier

A giant among terriers, strong and courageous. As far as I know, the only dog to win a posthumous Victoria Cross for gallantry in the field !

FOXTERRIER.jpg (42286 bytes)

Smooth fox terrier

An energetic Engl;ish terrier. The challenge was to paint those eyes and capture that focused stare. "Foxies" come in both smooth and wire coat types.

LAKELAND.jpg (43105 bytes)

Lakeland terrier

Another typical English terrier, irrepressible and bursting with energy. This one is a champion show dog.

STAFFY2.jpg (50575 bytes)

Staffordshire terrier

A stocky dog originally bred for bull and bear baiting. Now recognised as a faithful and reliable pet. But still loves a good fight!

BULLTERRIER.jpg (24874 bytes)

Bull terrier

Although of fierce appearance, these dogs are gentle with people, but can be aggressive to other dogs.

WIREFOXTERRIER.jpg (26658 bytes)

Wire fox terrier

JACK-RUSSELL.jpg (47802 bytes)

Jack Russell terrier

A cheerful and excitable dog who just loves to dig. This portrait of "Pepper" is one of my favourites.

SCOTTY.jpg (32774 bytes)

Scottish terrier

Once Known as the Aberdeen terrier, the "scottie" is now almost a Scottish trade mark, and is often seen wearing the tartan.
