Clive Quinn was born in Leeds, England and studied at the York College of Art. He has worked as a commercial artist and is also a maker of traditional folk instruments.   He  paints in a variety of mediums but prefers pastel for animal portraits.

Since arriving in Australia he has established a reputation as an outstanding portrait artist, particularly in the field of animal portraiture, where his love of dogs is evident.
He can not only paint a stunning likeness of a dog but can also capture its expression and it's personality.

His portraits are often given as prizes by dog clubs, and Clive has painted many of Australia's top show dogs and working dogs, including winners of the Perth Royal Show and the West Australian Puppy of the Year. He has also painted many mutts, mongrels, moggies, pet dogs, cats, horses and other animals.

Clive is a member of the Perth Society of Artists.

Check out the gallery. The graphics can sometimes take a while to load but please be patient. Go and put the kettle on.  Believe me, it's worth the wait!

And if you happen to see the character on the right wandering around  West Australia, do stop and say hello.  He's really quite friendly and very nearly house-trained!   Arlene Quinn.
